Future of the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program
Washington, like many states across the country, finds itself in a serious budget shortfall due to the economy. As part of making recommendations to the Governor for the 2011-2012 Capital Budget, the WA Office of Financial Management (OFM) has made a recommendation to suspend or eliminate funding for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP).

Feds Announce RMEF Appointment to Conservation Council
MISSOULA, Mont.—Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack today announced the appointment of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and 17 other organizations to the Wildlife and Hunting Heritage Conservation Council.

*** 1st Annual Elk Calling Contest and Jamboree Fundraiser, Wild Rivers Chapter****
The Jamboree starts at 12:00 PM on Saturday July 31, 2010, and continues until 5:30 PM. This year's elk calling contest begins at 1:00 PM.

The Brookings/Harbor area is a beautiful spot to spend a fun filled weekend while attending our Jamboree and Elk Calling contest. RV reservations can be made at Beachfront RV (541) 469-5867 or Driftwood RV (541)469-9089. Be sure to mention that you are with RMEF.

MISSOULA, Mont.—For the second year in a row, America’s premier charity watchdog has given its highest marks to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
